2009 CHAMPIONS WEEKEND TOURNAMENT ...CAN BE SUMMED UP IN TWO WORDS:
OVERTIME! AGAIN!
In the history of the KLMLA and Champions Weekend, six years now, there had been a grand total of one overtime game played, occurring in 2008.
The 2009 Champions Weekend tournament, concluding on Saturday, June 20
and Sunday June 21, had no less than six 'sudden-victory' overtime games, one being double overtime.
Three of the six championships were decided by the extra period.
Needless to say, the suspense and drama was overwhelming. The effort and
play was amazing and exhausting at the same time, for players, coaches
and fans alike.
Congratulations to everyone who made this year's event such a success.
